Abstract

Neutrophils are the main eff ector cells that are mediated immune response to exogenous pathogens including opportunistic fungi Aspergillus fumigatus. Neutrophils infi ltrate infl amed tissues and massively die during the fi ght against pathogen. However, in some cases neutrophils survive and migrate to lymphatic vessels to neutralize residual pathogens and activate adaptive immune response. In the present study we characterized the ability of neutrophils to migrate via lymphatic vessels during A. fumigatus conidia-induced infl ammation. As a result, new data about neutrophils migration kinetics to lymphatic vessels and the role of neutrophils in control of fungal spore dissemination in the host organism were obtained.
