Abstract

An experimental model of diffuse toxic rat liver damage with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and its correction by aminophthalhydrazide (APH) was used to evaluate the response of mast cells and the degree of fibrosis. Structural disorders and suppression of regenerative processes in the liver under conditions of chemical trauma were accompanied by increased migration of mast cells to the portal stroma and an increased content of secretory granules in them. The use of APH contributes to the normalization of the area, occupied by collagen in the liver tissue, and reduces the number of mast cells, but maintains a high content of secretory granules in them.
